When
you are finished with the Video EEG monitoring, the technician will take off your bandage. The wires will then come off your
head when the technician puts a strong smelling cool liquid on your head or loosens them in some places by hand. Some kids
like to close their eyes during this part to keep their eyes clean from the liquid.
|

After
the bandage and wires come off, it feels lighter on your head. Sometimes the cleaning liquid smells.

|

When
you go home, all the extra sticky stuff in your hair will come off with lots of good shampoos and baby oil.

Some
kids play alot of games during all the time they spend having the Video EEG. What do you think you'd like to do? Many kids
like to play video games. It's possible to ask your caregiver to pack some of your favorite toys or stuffed animals to bring
with you and take home. Most kids wish they could take the video game center home with them when they leave. Guess what...the
video game center is shared by all children who come for their Video EEG and stays at the hospital! The Child Life Specialist
will bring it to the next child to play with during their stay. When you go home, you'll have plenty of your own toys waiting
for you!
